What is Nutritional Therapy?

Having an understanding of how our amazing human body works and how it interacts with our environments gives us a deeper respect for it.

Naturopathic nutritional therapy has many benefits – firstly it can put you back in touch with your body. Secondly, it can shine a light on and address conditions you have suffered with for a long time. And thirdly, it can help you find an approach to food and eating that best suits your unique lifestyle and constitution.

These things combined can empower you back to optimum health and enable you to feel your best.

How can Nutritional
Therapy help?

Some of the common symptoms of hormonal imbalance that can be alleviated include:

• Anxiety • Brain fog • Fatigue • Constipation • Eczema • Difficulty conceiving • Thyroid issues • Menstrual issues • Low mood or mood swings • Low sex drive • Digestive issues • Insomnia • Lack of motivation • Stubborn weight

Whatever you are suffering from, we can work together to support and guide you back to feeling well again.

How it works

Naturopathic Nutrition seeks to find the root causes of your particular illness or complaint. It treats the whole person, seeing all systems of the body as being interrelated. It looks at psychological and emotional factors as well as genetic and environmental ones.

We will explore your history and health through in-depth consultation and sometimes functional testing. We will then take a holistic approach to support you back to optimum health. This will involve lifestyle advice, nutritional recommendations, recipe ideas, natural remedies and sometimes supplements.

The follow up will review any blood results and make adaptations based on how you are responding.

Shiatsu, Massage and Yoga are complementary to the process of my work as stress in some form or another is at the root of most illness.

My background

I have been a complementary therapist for more than 15 years.

I’ve always had a passion for food and been interested in it’s healing potential. Growing up with an asthmatic brother with health issues I felt compelled to understand more about healing and wellbeing.

I am a graduate of the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) and am registered with the British Association of Nutritional Therapists (BANT) and the Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC).

After studying nutrition and when trying to conceive my daughter, I discovered that I had a thyroid condition. This, along with female hormonal health, has now become my specialism.

Client experiences

“Lioba is clearly very passionate about nutrition and natural approaches to wellbeing. I came to her with some digestive issues, and her down-to-earth, knowledgeable approach – and support in managing my stress means I am no longer suffering like I was. I am really grateful.”

S. B

“I have had hormonal issues for a while now and just assumed that they were normal. Lioba helped me to understand that they were not and how I could begin to start addressing them through changes to my diet and my lifestyle. I have seen big changes in surprisingly little time.”
